MLP:FiM Part 1

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is a flash cartoon series produced by Studio B Productions and created by Lauren Faust. The show is based off the My Little Pony toy line, specifically the fourth generation. The series has spawned numerous fans outside the show’s target demographics. It has become a popular subject of threads, reaction images, image macros, and YouTube videos.
Many male viewers of the show, such as myself, refer to themselves as Bronies, the plural form of Brony. The word "Brony" has to origins. One comes from the two words bro and pony. The other comes from the /b/tards on 4chan who were one of the first groups to embrace the irony on Ponydom on the web. These Bronies spread throughout the Internet via popular sites like Youtube and Facebook. Even females embraced the irony, calling themselves Pegasisters.
These two groups became so ridiculously huge that even the creators of the show began to notice. Lauren Faust, the creator of MLP, is often seen chatting to her fans on her DeviantArt page. Numerous shout-outs and cameos based on fan-inspired ideas became common throughout the show.
Well, that's it for this time. Next time we'll look over at some Brony-inspired phrases!!!

Is this post about MLP? Nope, Chuck Testa.

“Nope! Chuck Testa” is a phrase used by the Ojai Valley taxidermy services in a viral ad. In the ad, Over 9,000 people are fooled into thinking that taxidermied animals are alive. Then Chuck Testa appears out of nowhere and corrects them by saying “Nope! Chuck Testa” in a monotone voice. This meme has spawned Over 9,000 images on the internet which depict animals doing uncanny things in a similar fashion to the commercial.

Over 9,000!!!

The phrase “Over 9,000” comes from the popular show Dragon Ball Z. In episode 28, Vegeta claims that Goku’s power level is “Over 9,000!” On October 17th, 2006, YouTube user Kajetokun uploaded the video “9000!! NINE THOUSAAAAANDD!” From there, it spread rapidly throughout the internet used in the place of “a lot.”

Nyan Cat

Nyan Cat, sometimes known as “Pop Tart Cat,” is a famous cat animation depicting a cat with a pop tart as a body. The 8-bit animation itself was created by Chris Torres on April 2nd, 2011. “Nyan” is the Japanese word for meow. Thus, Nyan Cat literally means Meow Cat.
The popular YouTube video known as Nyan Cat was uploaded by saraj00n on April 5th, 2011. The animation was put to the song “Nyanyanyanyanyanyanya” composed by Daniwell-P. The song was originally meant for the virtual diva Hatsune Miku to sing. However, the song used in the video was sung by Utauloid Momo Momone. It has since gained over 66,000,000 views.
And that's the meme of the day! Toodles!
